Lisa/Rogues Under the Covers

Romance reader. I love historical romance and smart, sexy contemporaries.

Black Hills

Black Hills - Nora Roberts This was one of Roberts better romantic suuspense novels for me. I really enjoyed the wildlife refuge aspect and I know that helped. If you do not have much interest in wildlife refuge, I am sure you probably will not enjoy it as much. That being said, I agree with most of the other reviews and that the ending was a bit rushed and left me wanting just a couple more pages to tie up a couple loose ends. (Namely a wedding that was talked about quite a bit) With 472 pages surely she could have dropped a few elsewhere and gave a bit more to the ending! The characters were well written and I liked how the beginning started out with Lil and Cooper as kids and growing into their teenage love to drifting apart and then reconnecting. They both have strong families and friends that were great supporting characters.I would have given this five stars if the ending was just a touch better, but it gets 4 1/2 from me.
